SILVER PLATING/GOLD PLATING
silver plating
As the term says: silver plated solex cutleries are covered with silver layer. 18/10 stainless steel is used as the base material. Silver plating is done in several operations in the galvanic bath where the silver layer is connected insolubly with the base metal. Silver plating can be done either with 30, 60 or 90 gram silver. The blade will not be silver-plated.
gold plating
The gold-plating cutlery parts takes place in a gold bath. The cutlery receives a fine gold plating by a galvanic procedure. This process is also called hard gold plating. Depending on the later use of the cutlery, a gold layer of different thickness is applied. The blade will not be gold-plated.
